Sweet chile pecans make a great snack and are a cinch to make. These are so good, you will eat them as if they were candy.

Ingredients:

1/4 cup sugar, divided

1/2 teaspoon kosher salt

1 teaspoon paprika

2 teaspoons olive oil

1 cup pecan halves

Instructions:

In a mixing bowl, combine half the sugar, salt, and paprika. Mix these ingredients well and set a side. In a skillet heat up the olive oil and add the pecans. You will want to toast the pecans till they release their fragrance, being careful not to burn them. This should only take 1 to 2 minutes. Sprinkle in the second half of the sugar. Shake the skillet constantly to keep the nuts from burning. Once the sugar melts and caramelizes, stir well and remove from heat. Immediately toss the remaining sugar mixture with the pecans, separating them with 2 forks. Once the nuts have cooled, enjoy!
